Week 6 Editing













While editing my short draft film I forgot to include my video's title in the final drafted piece. But my title's font will be presented in the " Just Breathe" font by kinetic plasma. This font is very childlike and messy, hence representing my comedic short film  

For the video effects, I rarely used any effects. The only effects that I mainly used were cut transitions to showcase my character moving from room to room in a smooth ad timely matter. In the future, I definitely want to add some zoom features into my video to create a more cohesive theme 


In addition, regarding my audio effects, I haven't added much or any to fit into my comedy film theme. Most of the sound used is "natural" which was already filmed from the regular video. In the future, I want to implement the upbeat and dramatic comedy tone of reality tv shows like keeping up with the Kardashian's have.

I spent about 20 minutes editing, I had created a game plan for my video stating how many clips I needed and the order the clips would go. So when it came down to editing the process was really easy and quick, which would explain why I saved it till the last minute. 
In addition, my time management during filming wasn't the best, I definitely should have started earlier that way I would've had more time to fix many issues I encountered. One of these issues included angles and shooting the right-angled clip. Sadly due to lack of time I had to settle for less within those situations. This is something I plan to work on after my peer feedback.

I have finished my editing and here are some final thoughts that I have:  I wished I had spent time looking for other candidates that could have filmed my film with me  Filming by myself was hard and easy at the same time  filming by myself was easy because I didn't have to rely on someone else I wished I could have incorporated more clips that could/would have progressed  y storyline: at the end of the day it came down to how much timing and space was available in my 2min film

Final Cut Movie Opener

  Everything is Perfect     Some changes that were made included adding new clips to broaden out my storyline. In addition, I also added a title and opening credits to my movie and added sound. Lastly, I also cut down from how long each scene was and added a picture at the beginning of my movie for context

Film #13 Peer Reviews What specific elements of the film opening did you like? Was there anything that left you confused? (be specific) What suggestions do you have for changes? I like that the opener started out pretty normal with the girl explaining her morning until it reached the part with the goldfish and then it just went downhill. Is the goldfish supposed to be a friend of the girl or is the goldfish her child? Change the dialogue where the girl talks about jogging to walking so it matches the scenes that are shown I like the relatability. I also enjoyed the eating pizza in the bathroom first thing in the morning and also wrapping the goldfish like a baby. It was extremely hard to hear dialogue so I couldn’t tell what the plot was.
